You can help supply safe drinking water and essential cash for food to 1,500 vulnerable families today.
Our trusted Church partners have been working in Sudan for over twenty years with your support, helping families to grow food and stay safe from disease.
When fighting broke out, these local experts stayed to help communities who have been doing all they can to stay safe, and when the conflict got worse and other aid agencies had to leave, we have continued to provide the essentials for our neighbours.
Your donations are making a difference – our local partners have adapted their long-term work to give out emergency food packages, creating food kitchens and giving cash payments to families who’ve been made homeless. Water engineers are now fixing pipelines damaged by fighting and other partners are helping children whose families have been broken up by the conflict.
Your steadfast support means that we can remain helping our neighbours during this conflict and it means that our partners will be there to help them rebuild when the fighting is over.

The ongoing conflict has led to water pipelines being damaged, resulting in communities not having access to clean water and having to resort to fetching water from unsafe locations.
With our local partners, we have been working to repair damaged water pipelines and construct new water facilities to increase the water supply in remote communities.
The local partners you are supporting with your donations are also responding to this crisis in South Sudan, where a large number of families have fled to from Sudan.
Forced to leave behind jobs, personal belongings and loved ones, these vulnerable people urgently need shelter, food and water.
Since we launched our appeal in 2023, CAFOD has continued to support our teams in South Sudan so that refugee families can be helped quickly. However, the number of people crossing the border continues to increase. Your donation today can help to make a real difference by providing basic essentials like emergency food, water and shelter.

We ask the Lord to open the paths of peace as we pray for the people of Sudan who are facing conflict and hunger.
